		ASBESTOS SURVEYS Under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 (CAWR) those that control buildings are required to ensure an asbestos register is compiled and an asbestos management plan put in place. Types of asbestos surveys The simplest way to achieve this is to have a Type 2 MDHS100 asbestos survey carried out. A Type 2 asbestos survey involves sampling to confirm the presence/absence of asbestos and is the standard choice for compliance under CAWR. If there are major refurbishment or demolition works planned in the future which fall under CDM Regulations, a Type 3 asbestos survey will be required. A Type 3 Asbestos Survey involves destruction inspection to locate ACMs contained in the building structure. Survey Reports For Type 2 and Type 3 asbestos surveys we record our findings in a concise, jargon-free report which is comprehensive and easy to (pdf version available), which includes bulk sample evidence, photographs, CAD drawings and recommendations.
